All these supplies were stacked on the counter upon my arrival in the apartment.

Tiny, but had supplies in it as well.
Everything is tiled, including the floor.[/caption]

Additional supplies and on the wall is a water filter. I use it to make coffee/tea.

I turned it on once and was scalded (no cold water), so only use solar heated now.

It is gas and the orange cord in the back is the gas line to the tank that sits under the sink.

I think this has a 6 kg capacity. I’ve moved the mirror.

All toilets here have one of these sprayers hung next to them, even public restrooms. Hand held bidet, I guess.

This is from the door of my bedroom.
This is what my bed looked like when I walked in. The sheet (there was only 1) is nylon or polyester, thin & no mattress cover. [/caption]

Cluttered with my stuff.

Caught up last night. Oh my. Is that the shower behind the washing machine? So many takes on the concept of “home.” And I ask myself, why not? What an adventure!
So glad you have found a laughing partner. Take pix of your friends when you can! love, j

Pam, it is a blessing and gift to share this journey with you. Thank you for sharing your story with us and your gifts with the children who will be running around soon enough. Peace, Katie

Yay for pictures! I also found myself wondering about the various shower heads around the apartment. And the idea of a handheld bidet is not my cup of tea, but I trust there’s also toilet paper. Teehee! I love seeing all the pictures of your new home!
Love you Mom!

The sprayer by the toilet is a godsend when there is no TP! Wish all the western and eastern toilets in India had them.

Hi Pam,
Just finished reading all your posts! I am going through some similar feelings of adjustment here as well… Just sat down to grade 500+ papers from my 4 math classes. I have 95 students daily, so whenever I grade stuff it is a pain! I am so excited for you and know that a few months from now everything will be much more settled for the both of us! Love being able to feel close to you by reading your blog. Hugs from me to you across the ocean and deserts! : )
